The following security alerts came out today: 

      * Gentoo has issued the following security updates: 
        
        cvs has a remotely exploitable heap overflow vulnerability. 
        
        The neon HTTP and WebDAV client library has a potential remote
        execution vulnerability. 
        
        cadaver has a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability due to
        problems in the neon library. 
        
        The subversion client and server have a date parsing code
        vulnerability that can lead to denial of service attacks or
        arbitrary code execution. 
        
      * Slackware has issued an update for the cvs remotely exploitable
        heap overflow vulnerability.
